DESCRIPTION

The ASE light source consists of pump laser and rare-earth doped optical fiber mainly. Spontaneous emission produced by energy level transition of the doped rare-earth ion is amplified by pump laser to generate stable broadband output. Different doped fiber and matched pump can be combined to provide various operating band, including 1060nm, 1550nm, 1590nm and so on.
